Fundraising Programs – 2017-2018
Thank you for choosing Texas Shock Volleyball! We want to encourage any player who has the desire to compete in club volleyball to have an opportunity. We understand the significant financial commitments of having your daughter participating in club volleyball and are excited to offer several fundraising options to help offset your tuition. All Texas Shock players and families are welcome to take advantage of any or all of our fundraising programs to help reduce your club fees. Players and families can raise a significant portion of their club fees by participating in our fundraising programs. All monies raised will be credited directly to your player’s account! Our 2016-2017 fundraisers begin in September and include Longhorn Concession stand duty and Frank Erwin concert series, Yankee Candles, Mixed Bags, Team Car Wash and more! Longhorn Concession Stand Duty
Texas Shock has partnered with Sodexo to allow players and family members the opportunity to raise money by working various Longhorn sporting events and concerts at the Frank Erwin Center. All volunteers need to be at least 16 (with adult presence as well) to work. Most of our locations will sell basic concession fare (hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, nachos, etc.) with a few specialty type stands. Typical group sizes range from 6-20. We do have locations that sell alcohol and some that do not. For those with alcohol, the front line volunteers (cashiers) will need to be TABC certified and 18+. The support staff (runners, prep cooks, etc.) are allowed to be 16 or older.
This is an awesome opportunity to raise money for your player’s club dues and it involves a commitment from the players and family members.
We must sign up with the required number of workers for each event (6-10 depending on event). Sign-ups are a first-come/first-serve basis. If you are committed and willing to work the events, please our Fund Raising Coordinator, Julie Spelman at firstname.lastname@example.org. As soon as we get enough members to commit to an event, we will coordinate our group to work the event. Each player is paid a percentage of the profit from the stand based on the number of hours the player/family member worked. If you have more questions about this program – please email Julie.
Mixed Bags - Sell tote bags, travel bags, kitchenware, gift wrap, home goods & more through Mixed Bag Designs! This fundraiser will be online and catalog. Fundraiser will starts in October! Profit for this fundraiser is up to 50% of your sales.
Yankee Candles - Sell the world's #1 candle brand with a wide range of candle options and decor. Your profit is 40% of every sale. This fundraiser will be online and catalog Fundraiser will starts in October!
By participating in ANY Texas Shock fundraising activity, all players/families understand and agree to the following guidelines:
Any credits/funds earned through any Texas Shock fundraising activity such as food concession stand duty, Yankee Candle, Mixed Bags, or any other Texas Shock fundraising activity may only be applied towards the player's dues/fees associated with that individual player's account. Once the player's season officially ends any available credits may not be used again until the following season. Credits may not be "donated" to another player. Finally, should the player quit or elect to not return for the following season, the player and her family understands and agrees that these credits are NON- REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.
